1. Each applicant will be tested for Mongolian language proficiency and enrolled into the appropriate level. The 2021 OIML program will admit up to three cohorts out of the four levels of Mongolian aptitude:
Beginner (Level 1), Lower-Intermediate (Level 2),
Upper-Intermediate (Level 3), and Advanced (Level 4). Each cohort will admit up to five students.
2. Lessons of Level 2 and above will be conducted entirely in Mongolian, including virtual instructor-led sessions and online assignment instructions.
3. Participants must attend 90 percent of scheduled virtual instructor-led sessions and complete 90 percent of work assigned on the learning platform, referred to hereafter as the “90-90 requirement.” Participants must commit up to 7.5 hours of virtual instructor-led sessions and up to 15 hours for independent assignment work per week over an 8-10 week period. However, the third week of July will be exempt as the official holiday (Naadam Festival).
4. All applicants must be current members of the ACMS to be considered for the fellowship program.
5. Tuition payments must be received by the ACMS by May 15, 2020. The ACMS will send the payment information to participants after acceptance into the program.
