The Role and Scope of Practice of Mongolian Nurses: The purpose of my ethnographic research is to gain deeper insight into the roles and scope of practice of nurses working in Mongolian publicly funded acute-care hospitals. By observing nurses in their natural setting, the real-life experiences of nurses will be described. Factors that influence Mongolian nurses’ scope of practice and roles will also be explored. Developing an understanding of nursing practice in hospitals, as well as the intrinsic and extrinsic factors that influence it, will provide important insights that can inform policy, education, research, and administration.
