Synopsis

Smart Air is a social enterprise providing education and cost-effective air purifiers to combat air pollution. They run workshops to raise awareness of air pollution. Join this workshop to learn about:

  • Simple, effective techniques to protect yourself from air pollution

About the Speaker:

Paddy Robertson grew up in a small rural village in Wales – has a masters in aerospace engineering from Bristol, UK. After graduating he went on to launch several social startups, before moving to China in 2015 with an aim of solving some of China’s big environmental and social challenges. He has been running Smart Air – a social enterprise dedicated to combating air pollution – for the past 3 years. He uses his expertise in aerodynamics to design new simple and effective air purifiers, and his experience of the global landscape to increase air pollution awareness in countries across Asia. As an environmentalist, Paddy spends much of his time working on sustainability projects and speaking at environmental forums, as well as routinely participating in forums to promote social innovation and responsible business in China, Philippines and India.

About American Center for Mongolian Studies (ACMS)

The American Center for Mongolian Studies (ACMS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting scholarship in Mongolian Studies. The ACMS Speaker Series are organized in partnership with the U.S. Embassy and the Natsagdorj Library and provides an important platform for researchers engaged in Mongolia to share their experiences and findings with the public. The event promotes information exchange on a variety of subjects related to Mongolia and is free and open to the public.
