Join the American Center for Mongolian Studies and our partner organizations for two Mongolia Studies events in Seattle on March 16 and 17, 2024!

Mongolia Studies Reception in Conjunction with the AAS conference in Seattle March 16, 7-10 PM at the Sheraton Grand Seattle Hospitality Suite

The American Center for Mongolian Studies (ACMS) and Institute for Global Engagement at Western Washington University (WWU) invite you to a drop in Mongolia Studies reception from 7:00 -10:00 PM on Saturday March 16, 2024 in a hospitality suite at the Sheraton Grand Seattle1400 6th Avenue, Tel 206.621.9000.  The event coincides with the Association for Asian Studies (AAS) Annual Conference at the same location.

Join academics, researchers, and students engaged in the study of Mongolia for an opportunity to highlight your research and network with others in the field.  Fulbright Outreach and Recruitment Specialist Jaclyn Assarian will be in attendance to discuss Fulbright Scholar Program opportunities in Mongolia and answer questions. Light snacks and drinks will be available. Please RSVP to ACMS Resident Director Isaac Hart at ihart@mongoliacenter.org by March 15 to register interest and receive information on the location and room number of the hospitality suite in the hotel where the informal reception will be held. Information on the location of this meeting in conjunction will also be posted at the hotel on the day of the event.

Mongolia-American Cultural Celebration Sunday March 17, 3:30-5:30 PM at the Shoreline Unitarian Church, Shoreline WA.

Join the Mongolian community of Seattle and American friends of Mongolia for a celebration of Mongolian culture on Sunday March 17 from 3:30pm-5:30pm at the reception hall of the Shoreline Unitarian Church at 14724 First Ave N.E. in Shoreline WA in north Seattle.  Parking is available on site. The event is organized by the American Center for Mongolian Studies (ACMS) and the Seattle Mongolian Youth Center and will feature Mongolian music, food and cultural displays presented by the students of the Seattle Mongolian school and local friends of Mongolia. The event is free and open to the public, but please RSVP to ihart@mongoliacenter.org by March 15 to help with event planning.
